RG Snyman Viking Tattoo: The Real Story
South African rugby player RG Snyman recently found himself in the middle of a controversy after social media users thought he had a tattoo of Eugène Terr’Blanche, a well-known Afrikaner nationalist. This misunderstanding gained attention after political leader Julius Malema criticized the Springboks, suggesting that their symbols represented white supremacy.
In response, Snyman fans pointed out the true meaning of the tattoo. Snyman’s tattoo artist, Tony Weintraud, clarified that the tattoo was created in 2019 and was inspired by Viking culture, as Snyman is often called the “South African Viking.” The tattoo represents his Viking identity and has no connection to Terr’Blanche.
